Since May 2018, Sacramento State's Student Safety Training (Interim) policy has required signed student safety training acknowledgment forms to be obtained for all classes requiring personal protective equipment (PPE). At the start of the Fall 2018 semester, the campus rolled out an electronic student safety training acknowledgement form that is available to all classes requiring PPE. Faculty who teach these classes must use the electronic form or a similar paper form to comply with the policy requirement to document student acknowledgment of safety training. The campus continues to work with appropriate faculty to ensure they have student safety training acknowledgement forms suited to their needs.

Sacramento State is working with appropriate faculty to document student acknowledgment of safety training for classes requiring personal protective equipment (PPE). The campus developed and implemented a campuswide Student Safety Training (Interim) policy that requires departments to have students required to wear PPE sign student safety training acknowledgment forms to demonstrate that they have received proper laboratory safety training. The College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, where the majority of classes requiring PPE reside, has developed a standard student safety training acknowledgment form that is being used for the Summer 2018 term and beyond. Classes outside of the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics that require PPE will use an electronic student safety training acknowledgment form that is currently in development and expected to be implemented for the Fall 2018 semester. Until the new electronic form is rolled out, these classes' instructors remain responsible for complying with the policy requirement to document student acknowledgment of safety training.
