To ensure the health and safety of employees working with hazardous materials, Sonoma should, going forward, regularly monitor employee training records to ensure that all employees have received the required trainings.
Annual Follow-Up Agency Response From October 2019
Sonoma State University developed procedures for assigning and monitoring required safety trainings. The procedures include annual monitoring of required employee safety training to ensure completion. This monitoring was administered in Fall 2019 and as outlined in the procedures, any employee who had not completed the training was contacted along with their supervisor.
