Recommendation #20 To: Lands Commission, State

To ensure that it manages delinquent leases in an effective and timely manner and collects all the amounts owed to it, the commission should determine the amount of past-due rent that should be included in its accounts receivable account.

1-Year Agency Response

The commission asserted that it identified the amount of past-due rent that should be included in its accounts receivable account and it provided us the list of accounts receivable that included those receivables identified as contingent receivables. (See 2013-406, p. 201)
