To make sure that the minorís counsel it appoints meet the additional standards required by the superior courtís local rules, the Sacramento family court should create a record retention policy to retain the minorís counsel applications for as long as they remain on its panel list.

The Sacramento Family Court established a policy to maintain the minorís counsel application for as long as the minorís counsel remains on the courtís panel list. (See 2013-406, p. 157)
