Recommendation #5 To: Pilot Commissioners for the Bays of San Francisco, San Pablo and Suisun, Board of

To ensure that it fully complies with state law regarding investigations, the board should ensure that there is proper justification and appraisal for investigations that require more than 90 days to complete.

1-Year Agency Response

The board reported that it will review any requests for an extension to determine the reason and whether the underlying cause for the request can be addressed to avoid unnecessary delays in the future. The reasons for the request for an extension will be recorded in the board’s minutes. (See 2011-406, p. 96)
